Pinball Wizard

pinball cassie 2

I am back. Back in Minnesota. Someone is pounding on something outside the window and the wind is blowing ferociously. What a violent state. Someone just got fired at work (someone I like, unfortunately) so I am working tomorrow and hopefully more hours in general. In the meantime I think I might brave a walk to the slide library.

Hampton

alex

Took a little day trip to Hampton, Iowa about a week ago to visit my grandfather and his wife, as well as my uncle and his family. It was a hot and sunny day, and my cousins (Alex, pictured here grinning in his knickers, and Carmen Sofia) made good use of a large plastic tub filled with water. A kiddie pool, you could call it. This was taken with a much better camera than what I usually use. It’s from the future, I think.

One week later I am in Iowa again, Cedar Rapids this time, largely for Eric Ponto’s birthday, which was yesterday. We had appletinis, tired to make a fire in the rain (complete with ad-hoc cardboard shelter/hut), and went all the way to freakin Palo or whatever to see Thirteen Steps and let me tell you something folks, there are fourteen of them. Also I’ve been enjoying air conditioning, and I plan to go to the dentist. I’ll be back Tuesday, teeth cleaned and ready to sweat.

Six

six

Happy Birthday Yesterday Eileen. You’re six today. How time flies. Why, it was only the other day, it seems, that you said your first word, “Anana.” Sure it wasn’t a real word, not in English anyway, but we were all proud of you nonetheless. Just another year till the big seven.

I Have Returned

minnesota bridge something

Fear not! I have not perished. Lo, I have returned. My computer was dead busted for sometime and that, combined with our internet being out for several days, resulted in a complete lack of online presence for yours truly. But it’s good as new now, my dear old ‘puter. And luckily, I was in the middle of posting a series of pictures when this occured, so I’ve got some stuff to post. I also took some shots with an amazing(ly expensive) camera from the future on Thursday and perhaps I will somehow acquire these for posting. I sort of doubt it though. Anyway, hooray and goodbye!

Under the Bridge

This is some graffiti under the big railroad bridge at Marshall and Snelling. I was just about to take some pictures when it suddenly began to rain ferociously. Luckily, I was under a bridge. Bikes are still gone, but life goes on, and the weather gets hotter.

Hoop Dreams

Apparently, both my bike and Cassie’s were stolen today. Also, I still cannot get my wireless ethernet bridge to work. Truly, things are not going my way. As for today’s picture, it is an old one posted in response to the last picture of Ben’s most recent post.

Never Fly A Kite Around Power Lines

power lines

Mike and Eileen are here because their floor is being buffed, or something. Hopefully Mike will fix my wireless problems. Also I hit my head on a trashcan and we found a Siamese kitty.
