Pirates, Yarr!

pirates

pirates 2

In being thematically appropriate for today, Halloween, I am posting some costume oriented pictures. Last Saturday was our Halloween, not this Monday bullcrap, and it was just lovely. Cassie and I were the Dresden Dolls! I’ve got plenty of pictures of that, and rest assured I will post them in due time. In the meantime, yarr.

Wine

Never one to miss a beat, I’ve moved right from one fair to another. There were a lot of glowy blue fish tank pictures on my computer, chronologically between the two fairs, but I’ve decided not to put any of them up 1) because they’re Zachary’s pictures and 2) they all looked the same, so it was hard to pick one out of sixty or so to post. I am leaving in a matter of minutes for Chicago. ‘Tis an angry town, but I hear they’ve got a big shiny thing, so, you know. Whatever.

Oops I Got A Concussion

naked lady

So I hit my head last night. Sort of hard. On the dresser! It sounds stupid, but I’m pretty sure I got a mild concussion, complete with nausea and headaches and stuff for hours afterwards. Anyway, I’m still going to work today (though not classes) so I’m doing fine. So fine I even recorded a (slightly tremulous) cover of New York City. Enjoy!

Rent Me For Your Next Party

rent me

I have added a new category on the right of the page which includes recent music I’ve posted here. Hopefully I’ll be doing more of that off the cuff recording and posting, since it’s a little more relevant to my life than taking pictures is. Recent news: I’m volunteering at Groveland Park Elementary school tutoring Hmong children in hopes of getting some teaching experience before going to Japan. Also going to Chicago with Grace and Cassie and Michael for fall break/Hallowe’en, with much work rescheduling going on to accomodate it.

Mr. Satan

To those of you who do not know about DragonForce, it must have seemed a bit odd for me to write a song with stupid lyrics about swords and shit. Maybe not. But I didn’t write it, anyway. I encourage you to seek out the original Valley of the Damned by the aforementioned DragonForce, if not to compare and contrast, then to have your mind blown by the sheer metal force of it. In an attempt to rectify my musical reputation, I give you an honest to goodness C.D. Thompson original song which I recorded not ten minutes previous to posting this.
