Meet Steph. She is in my Japanese class, and has been since the beginning! Her, Stacia, Dan and I made a film for said Japanese class. You may find the link for it below, and also on the right under “video". It is a dumb story, based on silly things that come to mind when one mentions Koriton or Dango. These are my and Dan’s conveniently shortened Japanese names, based on a similar formula as Burappi, or Brad Pitt as some like to call him. As soon as we began filming, however, I found that I had an artistic vision for it all. Who knew? Ad hoc director morphed into ad hoc editor, and eventually this (dare I say masterpiece?) was created. Sorry there’s no subtitles, but, well, it was for Japanese class. Deal with it.

コリトン対ダンゴ (Coliton VS Dango)

p.s. it’s 40 megs so it’ll take awhile to load

I’ve been pretty productive recently. All getting stuff done for school and what-have-you. I revised my major plan, and I’m pretty sure that’s all I needed to square up afore I graduate. I’m not working this Tuesday (today) and possibly other Tuesdays in the future, which is kind of great. I have class at 10:10 and then nothing the entire rest of the day. I wrote a paper, did my Japanese homework, put something on eBay, and…um…updated my webpage all before 7 PM. Now I don’t have anything to do until 2:20 PM tomorrow. Yay. Maybe I do have time to watch Six Feet Under after all.

JET

First she was apprehensive.

apprehensive cassie

Then she forgot about it a little bit, had a beer, and was a bit coy.

coy cassie

Then she bit me! But was very sorry about it.

oops she bit me

And by the end, she was quite pissed, and a little pouty. “Fuckem,” she said.

pissed/pouty

So I got in. I’m going. By July 29th I’ll be gone. Out of the country. Cassie’s coming too, but not with JET. See above picture story. The motivations behind the decisions of the folks in Tokyo are, and will forever remain a mystery. What’s done is done, and we’re happy to be getting out of here after four years. It’s been nice enough, but it’s time to book it. I find out my placement sometime around mid-May, early June. Until then, I just gots to graduate.

This Is The Face I Make

this is the face I make

This is the face I make when practically every consulate but Chicago has sent out notifications about the JET Program. Hopefully I will have answers by tomorrow. All I know is that any answer or combination of answers will provide further rationalization to slack off during this, my final semester.
